Veneers are very thin coverings that are applied to the surfaces of your teeth to help correct cosmetic issues like staining, chips, worn edges, gaps between teeth, crooked teeth, and proportion issues, including a “gummy” smile and teeth that appear unnaturally small. Veneers can be tinted to match your own teeth, and they typically take two visits to apply. During the first visit, the tooth surface will be shaped to make room for the veneer and an impression will be made of your tooth and sent to the lab where your veneer will be created. A temporary veneer will be applied to protect the tooth. At the second appointment, the temporary veneer will be removed and the permanent veneer will be applied with a strong dental bonding agent. With proper care, including regular brushing, flossing, and trips to the dentist, a veneer can last a decade or more.
Yes, using our CEREC scanning and milling technology it is possible to complete some veneer cases in one visit. Please call our office at 732-219-6744 and make an appointment to determine the best option to suit your needs.
